NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

The City of Eau Claire is preparing the proposed Consolidated Plan's 2024 Annual Plan for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Programs.  The 2024 CDBG grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is approximately $560,964 plus an estimated $100,000 local program income for an estimated total of $660,964.  The 2024 HOME funds are approximately $258,124.  The City is publishing the following information in order to provide citizens of Eau Claire an opportunity to examine its content and submit comments on the proposed annual plan. 

Citizens are invited to submit written comments to the City of Eau Claire, Housing Division, City Hall, PO Box 1186, Eau Claire, Wisconsin 54702-1186 or call (715) 839-4943 by May 23, 2024, or attend a public hearing on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.in the City Council Chamber of City Hall, 203 S Farwell St, Eau Claire, WI or a staff public hearing on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.

Each year, organizations may apply for funding to implement activities that meet:

CDBG Awards Process for the City of Eau Claire

The CDBG Grant Year operates on an August 1st to July 31st calendar. In order to be prepared for an August 1st start, the sub-recipient application process generally begins in January and ends with the awards being announced in late May or early June.
