Mission: To provide exceptional park, recreation, forestry and cemetery services that will enrich our citizens and users.
Park restrooms are closed for the winter season.
Warming shelter restrooms are still available with reservation.
Haymarket Plaza Fountain is closed for the winter season.
Winter Season (no pavilion reservations): October 1, 2024 - May 14, 2025
Reservations for 2025 dates will be accepted beginning December 11, 2024.

- Community Parks are facilities designed to provide a combination of passive and active recreational activities for the whole City and include the following locations:

- 2-hour minimum for reservations
- Make sure to include time in your reservation to set-up and tear-down - we cannot ensure access outside of your reserved times.
- Never pay for more than 8 hours! Reservations more than 8 hours in duration pay a full-day rate, equivalent to 8 rental hours.

- Parks are open and available for reservations 7 days a week from 4:00am-11:00pm between May 15 and September 30.
- Winter Warming Shelters are available to reserve year-round. These include:
- Boyd, Demmler, Mitscher, Oakwood Hills, Pinehurst, Putnam Heights, Roosevelt, and Sam Davey.

Though most park pavilions and shelters are closed over the winter season, our warming shelters are reservable throughout the year!

Boyd Park Shelter
Hoover Chapel at Lakeview Cemetery

Rental Information
- $95/hour with a 2 hour minimum
- To schedule a tour before renting a chapel, contact the Sexton at (715) 839-5041.
- Chapels will be opened/closed onsite by the Sexton.
- You may come in the day before the reservation (8:00am-4:00pm) to decorate (provided there is no conflict with another user.)
- Chapels should be cleaned and left the way they were found.
- Chapel reservations must be submitted in person or via mail/fax.

Fairfax Municipal Pool information
Fairfax Pool Reservations must be placed at the Eau Claire Recreation Office.
Office can be found at 915 Menomonie Street.
Open on Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Reservations are not accepted online or at Fairfax Pool. Call 715-839-5032 with questions.
Picnic Pavilion Rental
Ideal for birthday parties, family picnics, meetings, or just securing a shady place for your group to hang out. For groups of up to 30 people. Bring in your own food or let us do the cooking for you.
Exclusive Use Rentals
Ideal for company picnics, family reunions, church outings, scout outings, and sports team parties. For groups ranging in size from 15-1,000 people! Bring in your own food or we can open the concession stand upon request.
Information

- Alcohol Policies
- Decorating: No tape, nails or other adhesives (tying up decorations is allowed).
- Fire Pit Policies:
- Igniting or maintaining a fire or open flame is not allowed except if fully contained in metal grills in picnic areas or fire rings installed by the City. (ordinance 9.76.110)
- Food/Catering services: User is responsible for making sure vendors protect the ground surfaces and haul away all waste from food preparation (i.e. grease, oil, food remnants, etc.)
- Park locations with No Weapon Ordinance posted
- Noise should not unreasonably disturb the peace and quiet of persons in the vicinity.
- Ordinance violations are investigated by the Police Department on a complaint basis. If an event is in violation, a citation may be issued or the event shut down.
- Parks are open seven days a week from 4:00 AM - 11:00 PM.
- Parks restrooms are typically open May 15th through October 15th, weather permitting.
- Boyd, Demmler, Oakwood Hills, Pinehurst, Putnam Heights, Roosevelt, and Sam Davey are open year-round with indoor restrooms and outdoor winter activities.
- Parks staff will clean pavilions as needed an hour before scheduled reservations.
- Political groups, marches or demonstrations need to contact the Police Department (715) 839-4975.
- Reservations are accepted online, in person, or by mail or fax.
- Reservations must be completed for exclusive use of pavilions.
- Reservation time should include set-up and clean-up time.
- Reservations are for pavilions/shelters only and do not include surrounding areas in the park.
- Reservations are hourly, but the maximum charge for a day is 8 hours. Hours beyond 8 can be reserved at no additional cost.
- The Parks and Recreation Division reserve the right to schedule other activities or events in the park. Every effort will be made by the division to avoid any conflict between two groups with regard to noise, parking, and/or use of facilities.
Keys
Some facilities require a key for access. Pick up keys at our Parks Office the week of your event at 910 Forest Street, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.

- Boyd, Cameron, Demmler, Grover Heights, Kessler, Lakeshore, Manz, Mitscher, Newell, North Riverfronts, Oakwood Hills, Pinehurst, Putnam Heights, Roosevelt, Sam Davey, and Sundet
- Parks that do not require a key for use, but may be helpful:
- Carson Birch Pavilion (gate only)
- Owen Park (bandshell/electrical)
- Phoenix Park (lights/electrical/gate)
- Rod & Gun Pavilion (gate only)
Refund Policy
- A $7 administrative fee will be deducted for all cancelled reservations.
- Refunds given when notice is received 5 business days prior to the event.
- Refunds will not be issued due to rain-outs or inclement weather.

Tents
- Tents/inflatables with stakes require approval from the Parks Division.
- A $30 utility locate fee is charged if a locate is necessary.
- Additional fees will be assessed if any damage is done to water or electrical lines by stakes.
- A tent permit application with $62 application fee is required for any tent larger than 250 square feet.

Weddings
- Reservations for next year begin the first Wednesday in December each year.
- Event organizers must use appropriate decorations and products to assure no damage will be made to the structure(s) or surfaces.
- Use of tape, nails or other adhesives is prohibited. Tying up decorations is allowed.
- User is responsible for making sure vendors protect the ground surfaces and haul away any waste from food preparation (i.e. grease, oil, food remnants, etc.)
- Noise should not unreasonably disturb the peace and quiet of persons in the vicinity.
- Ordinance violations are investigated by the Police Department on a complaint basis. If an event is in violation, a citation may be issued or the event shut down.
- The reservation for a wedding in a park only reserves the area described. It does not reserve the whole park.
- The Parks Division cannot be responsible for the general public use of the park at the time of the wedding. The wedding party does not have the right to request general park users to leave the park, unless in the reserved area.
- The Parks & Recreation Division reserves the right to schedule other activities or events in the park. Every effort will be made by the division to avoid any conflict between two groups with regard to noise, parking, and/or use of facilities.
- The wedding party is responsible for leaving the park area in as good of condition as when they arrived.
- Please consider size and parking accommodations when choosing a facility to reserve for your event.
