Coaching Volunteers

Volunteer Application Looking to volunteer as a coach for youth activities offered by Parks & Recreation? We rely on volunteer coaches for several youth sports.  Above is the link to the application to coach sports such as: T-Ball, Baseball, Flag Football, and Soccer.  Once in the 'Openings' screen, select the 'Parks & Recreation Volunteers' tab for current opportunities.

The baseball league is designed to develop fundamental baseball skills while learning game strategy.

• For players ages 7-9
• Players need their own glove
• Each player will receive a team t-shirt

All players will be placed on a team and play in all games

Join our Flag Football league and have some fun on the field!

The program is designed for players to have fun while learning more about the game through practice and organized games. Teams formed for youth in grades 2, 3-4, 5-6.

Youth Soccer Coaching Materials

The season begins with two or three practices, followed by playing two games per week. In our program, the games belong to the kids and the top priority is fun and skills improvement. Each participant receives a t-shirt and socks. Players provide shin guards. All participants will be selected to a team.

T-ball league is designed to introduce the game of baseball to young players.

• For players ages 5-7
• Players need to bring their own glove

• No pitchers; kids will hit from a batting tee

Tennis Instruction

All instructional classes will follow the USTA (United States Tennis Association) Recreational Tennis Curriculum. The USTA program includes performance objectives, skill drills, and fun games on the courts. Students need to bring their own tennis racquet. The USTA tennis curriculum is designed to bring kids to the game by utilizing smaller racquets, slower, and lighter balls, shorter court dimensions, and modified scoring.
