Our community, much like others in the nation, is impacted by drug overdose. In 2015, 873 people in Wisconsin died because of a drug overdose. Overdose Day spreads the message that we can prevent overdose and addiction. Included are some ways that you can help prevent substance misuse.

Dr. Crystal Lalonde and Tammy Raeder, Public Health Nurse, will be at Augusta Back-to-School Day on September 1. They will explain how the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine can prevent cancer. They will answer parents’ and students’ questions about HPV and the HPV vaccine. There will be games to play, prizes to win, and facts to learn!
