What occurred?

A traffic study was conducted in Fall 2017 as part of the project, and results were presented to the public. The City Council approved the project in Spring 2018 following a public input process.

What was the project scope? 

The project scope was a mill-and-fill project with construction occurring in Summer 2018. The project incorporated several pedestrian safety features; some of these features were  completed with the construction project in the summer.

Pedestrian Safety Features Installed

The Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacon (RRFB) sign at the Jefferson Street crosswalk and the Speed Feedback sign were installed to help reinforce the lower speed limit approved with the project.
