Construction on: East Lake Street, from Farwell Street to Dewey Street

Completed in June 2020.

This project was approved by City Council for 2019 construction but began & finished in 2020. The start delay occurred to allow Xcel Energy to move their private utilities in advance of the street project.

*This project replaced essential water & sewer infrastructure in excess of 120 years old, and the work was considered Essential Infrastructure under the Governor’s Emergency Order #12. City inspection staff & the contractor’s work crews followed all requirements of Governor Evers' Emergency Orders issued in conjunction with the COVID-19 crisis to ensure they did their part to stop the spread of the disease while providing essential services.
