2022: Eddy Lane & Melby Street Projects
**Updated 2/16/22**
The Eddy Lane & Melby Street projects were originally approved by City Council for 2019 construction and were then delayed to 2020 due to scheduling issues with the railroad & private utilities. The projects were bid and slated for 2020 construction from a City standpoint. However, due to permitting issues with the railroad, the Eddy Lane and Melby Street projects were pushed into 2021 and again to 2022.
The City is now coordinating to complete the construction work in 2022, and the City's contractor for the work (Haas Sons, Inc.) has indicated the 2020 bid prices will be honored. Melby Street is tentatively scheduled to be constructed in Spring of 2022 with Eddy Lane tentatively schedule to be constructed in the summer of 2022 after the air show and school is out.
Work Completed by Xcel Energy on Eddy Lane in 2020
Xcel Energy completed a separate project of their own on Eddy Lane during 2020, which was related to the City's project. Their presence caused some confusion in looking as if the City had begun construction on the Eddy Lane project that was delayed to 2020. Xcel's project, however, was an entirely separate one from this project of the City's shown below, which has now been delayed to start and finish in 2021.
