STIs, also known as Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), are common and preventable. STIs are passed from one person to another through vaginal, oral, and anal sex. When STI prevention doesn't work, STI testing and treatment can help keep you and your partner safe. Most treatment is available onsite at our clinic. If needed, a prescription can be sent to a pharmacy of your choice.
Common STI tests we may recommend after talking with you:
**Our low to no-cost clinic testing is limited to Selective Screening Criteria. Patients can request tests outside the criteria but will need to pay the full cost of additional tests. Please talk with your provider at your visit about testing options.

Health Exams
Annual exam when on birth control:
This exam is NOT a vaginal exam. It's a time to review your health history and any concerns or questions you may have. This exam is required yearly while on birth control.
Cervical cancer screening exams:
These are screening tests that can help prevent cervical cancer or find it early.
Pap Testing (or Pap smear) - this test looks for precancers, cell changes on the cervix that might become cervical cancer if they are not treated.
Colposcopy - this is a follow-up test given if a Pap test result is abnormal.
Human papillomavirus (HPV) (CDC) - this test looks for the sexually transmitted HPV virus, a virus that can cause cell changes on the cervix that might become cervical cancer.
