Animals with an up to date rabies vaccination will be issued a home quarantine with 2 vet checks to ensure the animal is not showing signs of illness with a final health release at the end of the 10 quarantine. Animals with no current rabies vaccination records (unable to locate records, expired vaccination, vaccination received less than 30 days) requires a vet quarantine with the animal being quarantined at a veterinarian of the owner’s choice. The animal will be given a rabies vaccination and a health release at the end of the 10-day quarantine. Bites are reviewed to determine if animal will be deemed to be dangerous and ordered removed from the city. Citations may be issued.
