On behalf of the whole City Council, Council President Emily Berge and Council Member Kate Felton are hosting an informational session titled “How to run for City Council” on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at
6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 203 S. Farwell St., Eau Claire.

They will share information on the process of running for an at-large Council Member seat and a brief overview of the responsibilities of a Council Member. There will also be a question-and-answer portion of the meeting. All are welcome to attend.

Five at-large (city-wide) seats will be up for election during the spring election on April 1, 2025. Signature collection to get on the ballot can begin on December 1, 2024. Any person possessing the qualifications of an elector in the City of Eau Claire is eligible as an At-Large Council Member.
