The City was awarded a $500,000 grant from the EPA to identify areas in the community that have potential for redevelopment, but may have environmental issues. The grant can fund investigation of sites and plans for mitigating environmental issues and redevelopment concepts. This could include redevelopment of old, blighted structures, investigation of abandoned parcels, etc. The listening session is an opportunity for the public to provide input on areas of the community they feel need help jumpstarting revitalization, specific properties or structures that would be candidates for redevelopment planning, and provide input on planning activities.
