Notice of Public Meeting

Eau Claire Transit and the City of Altoona will be conducting a Public Meeting to accept the
Public’s input on proposed modifications to the Bus Route 17, which serves the City of
Altoona, which will increase service to a full-hour route. All members of the Public are
encouraged to attend.

Any citizen having questions or comments concerning the proposed service addition may
attend a public meeting that will be conducted by the City of Eau Claire and City of Altoona
on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 5:00-6:00PM at the Council Chambers at Altoona City
Hall at 1303 Lynn Ave, Altoona, WI. After receiving the public’s input, the Eau Claire Transit
Commission will consider implementing the proposal during its February 21, 2024 regular
meeting.

Members of the public may also provide comments regarding the route by using this link by
visiting www.ecbus.org. Comments may be provided through the website until February 11,
2024.

Notice is hereby given that members of the Eau Claire City Council and the Transit
Commission may be present to gather information about a subject over which they have
decision-making responsibility. This may constitute a meeting of the Eau Claire City Council
and Transit Commission pursuant to State ex rel. Badke v. Greendale Village Board., 173
Wis.2d.553,494 N.W.2d408 (1993), and must be noticed as such, although these
governmental bodies will not take any formal action at this meeting.

Persons unable to attend the public meeting may submit written and verbal comments to the
