Informational Meeting & Community Discussion - Proposed Niagara Bottling Plant

A community discussion about the proposed Niagara bottling plant, and plans to fund a Sustainability Coordinator from water utility revenue received from the Niagara Bottling plant, will be held by the City of Eau Claire. Community groups including JONAH, the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Eau Claire Sustainability Advisory Committee have been invited and may be in attendance. The program is planned to include presentations, discussions, and the opportunity to ask questions.

The event will be Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the O’Brien Rink at Hobbs Municipal Ice Center at 915 Menomonie St., Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Those wishing to learn more about Niagara’s operation, the city’s water supply, job creation, and perspectives on the environmental impact the proposed plant may have on the area are encouraged to attend. The City’s reference materials and information on future meetings on this subject may be found at EauClaireWI.gov/Niagara

Those wishing to attend who travel by Eau Claire Transit may consider:
Route 2: leaves downtown transfer center at 5:45 and would drop off just before 6 pm.
Route 7: leaves downtown transfer center at 5:15 and would drop off around 5:35 pm.
There is a bus stop at the corner of Menomonie St. and 10th Avenue by Hobbs.

Bike racks are available outside Hobbs Ice Arena.
