Block Party

Are you thinking of having a block party?  What a great way to get to know your neighbors and establish longtime friendships!  If you're new to the neighborhood, you may even learn from neighbors about the history of the area where you live. When neighbors get to know each other, they tend to look out for each other -- and that makes for a happy, safe neighborhood.

Use this site to easily plan and apply for a block party!

What is a Block Party?

A Block Party allows you to temporarily close a section of street using City-provided barricades and to utilize the street for grilling, games, chalk art and so much more!

Why have a Block Party?

Basics:

  • Online Application (Applications must be received at least 14 days prior to the block party.)
  • City Ordinance
  • Please keep in mind:
    • Under Wisconsin Law, alcohol possession is prohibited on public streets and sidewalks.
    • Game bags, if requested and available, will be delivered to the applicant with the barricades; however, the game bags must be returned by the applicant to the Utilities Office (1040 Forest Street) on the first business day (Monday through Friday) after the block party, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
